President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday inaugurated members of the newly established regional Development Commissions, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to balanced growth and inclusive governance across the country.

The inauguration, held at the Rotunda Hall of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja, featured the swearing-in of commissioners for the South West Development Commission (SWDC), the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), and the South South Development Commission (SSDC).

Among those sworn in was Dr. Jide Martins Adewinle, who will represent Ondo State on the board of the South West Development Commission. Speaking after the ceremony, Dr. Adewinle pledged to champion all-round development for the South West region, noting that his appointment was a victory for the people of Ondo State and the entire South West.

“This appointment is a call to action: to bridge gaps, foster collaboration, and ignite a renaissance in the South West. I am committed to working tirelessly with my fellow Federal Commissioners, stakeholders, and the Federal Government to realize the SWDC’s mandate of promoting regional integration, environmental sustainability, social harmony, and economic prosperity,” he said.

Dr. Adewinle also expressed appreciation to Ondo State Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, state leaders, and the people of Ondo State at home and abroad for their confidence in him, dedicating the achievement to his family.
