President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has met with governor under the All Progressives Congress hours before the up coming National Executive Council of the party.
Almost all the state chief executives were present at the late evening meeting.
Addressing State house correspondents after the meeting, Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum and Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma,disclosed that the strategic meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House, Abuja was to fine tune issues and others plans towards the schedules NEC meeting.
Governor Uzodimma described it as a “convenient discussion” with the President aimed at strengthening the party and enhancing its capacity to deliver good governance to Nigerians.
He explained that as a sub-national government body the third tier after the national level the governors met to align with the President on party matters and governance priorities.
When asked whether any major decisions or contests are expected during the APC’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for Thursday, the governor said, until the holds.
