As agitations by separatist groups rage on in the country, an Hausa community leader, Alhaji Isa Dan Daura, has urged the agitators to fight for equal rights and justice.
Daura, who stated this in an interview with Akelicious yesterday, noted that groups like the IPOB had been hijacked by mischief makers and hoodlums, who had capitalized on causing trouble in the South East on Mondays.
He said that while the leadership of IPOB had canceled Monday sit-at-home order, some faceless persons hiding under the canopy of the pro-Biafra group had continued to threaten people’s lives should they come out on Mondays to do business in the zone, a reason the people had continued to stay at home for fear of being harassed.
Daura, an Nnewi-based businessman, said what NdI Igbo should fight for should be equal rights and justice, adding that Ndigbo are part of Nigeria and should not be sidelined in any appointments by the government at the centre.
