Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho has revealed that despite his lifelong connection to the sport, he rarely watches full football matches, admitting that 90 minutes of action can be too much for him.

Speaking in a recent interview, the former Barcelona and Brazil star said he prefers watching highlights rather than sitting through an entire game.

“I don’t like watching football. I only like watching the highlights, 90 minutes is too much,” Ronaldinho said with a laugh.

The 2005 Ballon d’Or winner explained that he only makes exceptions for major occasions such as finals or intense derby clashes, where the stakes and emotions are higher.

“Unless it’s a final or a derby, a match like that… but if it’s not, I don’t like it,” he added.

Ronaldinho also admitted that watching games sometimes makes him nervous, especially when players miss simple passes or chances.

“I get nervous. You start thinking: ‘How could that guy miss that pass?’ And that’s when I start to get angry,” he joked.

Widely regarded as one of the most entertaining footballers of his generation, Ronaldinho dazzled fans throughout his career with his creativity, flair and trademark smile, winning major trophies with clubs and country. Despite stepping away from professional football, his influence on the game and global fan base remain strong.
