Cristiano Ronaldo has reaffirmed his determination to continue playing at the highest level after winning the Best Middle East Player award at the 2025 Globe Soccer Awards.

Speaking after receiving the honour, the Al Nassr captain described the ceremony as one of his favourites, noting the presence and support of his family and teammates.

This event is one of my favourite ceremonies because I get to see so many people especially my wife, who is always there to support me, my children, my parents, and my teammates,” Ronaldo said.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner also spoke about his future in football, stressing that his ambition remains unchanged regardless of where he plays.

I still have a lot of passion for football. I want to win more titles and reach the 1,000-goal mark. It doesn’t matter whether I play in Asia or Europe; I want to win,” he stated.

Ronaldo added that his primary focus is staying fit as he continues to chase personal and team milestones.

“I always enjoy playing football and I want to continue. You all know my goals — winning trophies and reaching that number, and I will do it without injuries,” he said.

He expressed confidence in achieving the landmark if he remains healthy.

“If I don’t get injured, I will reach the number you all know — 1,000 goals, inshallah,” Ronaldo added.

Ronaldo concluded by reiterating that his passion for the game remains strong, insisting that location is secondary to success.

“My passion is still high, and it doesn’t matter where I play, in the Middle East or in Europe. What matters is continuing and achieving my goals in football.”
