Rotary Lagos to get new President.

The Rotary Club of Lagos will today install former President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mrs Toki Mabogunje, as its 65th President.

The installation ceremony, scheduled to be held at the Condo Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, will have the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Prof Folasade Ogunsola, as the guest of honour.

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Senior Partner at the law firm AELEX, Mr Lawrence Anga (SAN), will serve as chairman of the event.

Mabogunje is expected to lead the club as it commences a new Rotary year, which runs from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.

Mabogunje, a lawyer and founder of Toki Mabogunje & Co., served as the third female president of the LCCI. 

She is also the current Vice Chair, Africa, at the International Chamber of Commerce, World Chamber Federation.

Her vision includes leading the club to execute projects across the Rotary’s focus areas of peacebuilding and conflict resolution, disease prevention and treatment, water, sanitation, and hygiene; maternal and child health; basic education and literacy; community and economic development; and supporting the environment.

The event will also feature the induction of the 2025/2026 Board and a fundraising dinner.

Founded on June 3, 1961, the Rotary Club of Lagos is the oldest active Rotary Club in Nigeria.
