United States President Donald Trump has condemned his Russian counterpart after killed at least eight people.
Posting on his Truth Social, Trump wrote that the attacks were “not necessary” and “very” badly timed. “Vladimir, Stop! 5,000 soldiers a week are dying.”
The assault prompted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to cut short his official trip to South Africa.
Weeks of peace negotiations appeared to be coming to a head without an agreement in sight. Earlier, Trump lashed out at Zelenskyy, chiding him for refusing to surrender Crimea as part of a possible deal.
