The NigerianSenate Committee on Public Accounts has issued a 10 working day ultimatum to the management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) to appear before it and account for financial discrepancies amounting to over N210 trillion in the company’s audited statements spanning from 2017 to 2023.
The ultimatum followed a request by the NNPCL for a two-month extension, citing the need to collate relevant documents and the absence of senior management currently attending an international retreat.
