Abia State law maker, and senate Minority Leader in the National Assembly, Enyinnaya Abaribe has spoken against the idea of leaving Nigeria.
It would be recalled that Nnamdi Kanu has been at the forefront for self determination for Igbo people because he believes people in the south east are not being carried along in the running of the country and federal appointments.
For Nnamdi Kanu, leaving Nigeria is the best option for them, but Senator Abaribe believes the idea is not a wise move.
Speaking yesterday at the inauguration of Igbonine, a new sociocultural organization in Enugu, which he served as the chairman of the occasion, Abaribe said it not the wish of Igbo people to leave Nigeria.
He asserted that nobody can push Igbo out of the country.
Abaribe cited several sacrifices and contribution Ndigbo made towards the national growth which he said it would be difficult for them to abandon it.
According to him, Igbo people have paid the ultimate price of keeping Nigeria together as one.
He describes Igbo people as a glue that bind Nigeria together.
According to Senator Abaribe, the only thing that will be fair for the Igbo people was to readjust the structure of the country.
He went further to warn against addressing the south east people as second class citizens. He said it would be fair if Igbo are giving fair chance even at the presidency.
He said Igbo were qualified to get any position in the land including the Presidency.
