The Chairman, Governing Council and Pro–Chancellor, Federal University of Calabar, (Unical), Senator Nkechi Nwaogu, Tuesday, revalidated her membership of the All Progress Congress in Abia state.
Senator Nwaogu participated in the exercise at her Umuagaa Osisioma Ward A, in Osisioma Ngwa local government area of the state and was witnessed by the Abia APC National Membership Registration and Revalidation committee-led by Ambassador Bala Mohammed Maigairi, State Caretaker Executive Committee of the party-led by Hon. Donatus Nwankpa and ward and LG executives and many party faithfuls.
The Pro–Chancellor flanked by party chieftains and numerous supporters was issued a Revalidated membership card by the ward Caretaker committee in the presence of the Chairman, Abia APC Registration and Revalidation committee, Ambassador Bala Maigairi.
Senator Nwaogu while speaking with newsmen on Tuesday, shortly after the exercise, said it is ripe time for all hands to be in deck for the entrenchment of people oriented government’s in the all levels of the state and the country.
The Abia APC Stalwart called on lovers of true democracy and good governance to turn out to their numbers to register in the ongoing APC Membership exercise.
According to the ex-Representative of Abia central Senatorial distrixt, the APC-led federal government had done assiduously well in the South East zone, pointing out the dualization of Niger Bridge, the ongoing reconstruction of the Enugu- Port Harcourt Expressway, the Federal Government social welfare programs and the upgrading of Akanu Ibiam Airport in Enugu to become a standard international airport to mention but a few.
Senator Nwaogu further said that is time for every well meaning individuals to join the moving train towards addressing the long age marginalization of the south east region, and demand for Nigeria President of Igbo extraction in 2023.
Also speaking during the exercise, the leader of the Abia APC National Registration and Revalidation Committee, Alhaji Bala Mohammed Maigari and the State Chairman of the APC Caretaker Executive Committee, Hon Donatus Nwankpa, in their separate speeches, boasted that it is time for the All Progressive Congress to take it’s rightful place in the state.
The APC leaders admonished the members of the general public to key in to the party in the centre for the entrenchment of good governance.
Meanwhile , the National Caretaker Executive Committee of the All Progressive Congress, APC, has announced shift in the deadline for the ongoing party Membership Registration and Revalidation exercise.
According to a realse, this extension will shift the end of the exercise to Wednesday 31st March, 2021.
