Seven Cameroonians Arrested in Benue Over Suspected Cross-Border Criminal Activities

Security operatives in Benue State have arrested seven foreign nationals allegedly involved in criminal activities in Imande-Agbatse, a border community between Nigeria and Cameroon.

The suspects, all identified as Cameroonian nationals, were first intercepted in the early hours of Monday by vigilant youths in the community, who later handed them over to security authorities.

Those arrested include: Titakung Cyril Gadinga, Nuvi Clifford Babila, Foyabo Godwin Nuvi T, Doh Collins Dobgima, Basil Smith, Dama Kenneth Babila, and Dingana Emmanuel.

According to community members, the men were suspected of engaging in banditry and supporting criminal networks operating along the Nigeria–Cameroon border corridor.

The suspects are currently being profiled and interrogated at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Benue.
