Soludo Appoints New Head of Service, Attorney-General, Others in Fresh Shake-Up

Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has approved a fresh round of key appointments into strategic positions within the Anambra State Government, aimed at strengthening governance and service delivery.

The announcement, made on Monday, March 23, 2026, confirmed the appointment of Barrister (Mrs) Ngozi Iwouno as the new Head of Service, while Barrister Joachin Peters Anetoh was named Principal Secretary to the Governor.

Dr. Ben Nwankwo was appointed Chief of Staff, and Prof. Frank-Collins Okafor will serve as the State Chief of Protocol. In the legal sector, Barrister Tobechukwu Nweke, SAN, was named Attorney-General of the state.

Also appointed is Mr. Christian Aburime as Chief Press Secretary, alongside Dr. Vincent Egbuna Okechi, who takes on the role of Deputy Chief of Staff. Ms. Ngozi Lucy Okoye was appointed Deputy State Chief of Protocol.

In addition, Governor Soludo named several Special Advisers to drive policy implementation across key sectors. Dr. Godwin Nnadozie will oversee Medicals and Pharmaceuticals, while Ms. Chinwe Okoli was appointed Special Adviser on Innovation and Business Incubation, doubling as CEO of the Solution Innovation District.

Prof. (Engr) Ebuka Nwankwo will serve as Special Adviser on Special Projects and Director of Project Evaluation and Monitoring, while Mr. Ken Emeakayi takes on the role of Special Adviser on Community Security.

The appointments were conveyed in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime.

The latest reshuffle is seen as part of Governor Soludo’s ongoing efforts to reposition the state’s administrative structure and enhance effective governance across critical sectors.
