A man has been killed by his son over a financial disagreement in Nyamatsoo Mbagen, Buruku Local Government Area of Benue State.
Akelicious report that the incident occurred at about 10:00 p.m. on Saturday when Ankyambe Tordue, allegedly armed with a machete, attacked his father, Ankyambe Hembaor, after he refused to give him money.
The victim was rushed to Agbecha Hospital, Nyamatsoo, where he was pronounced dead while receiving treatment.
Police sources said the Divisional Police Officer, Buruku, promptly mobilized a patrol team and detectives to the scene, documented the crime, and deposited the corpse at the hospital mortuary.
Authorities confirmed that efforts are ongoing to track and apprehend the fleeing suspect, while the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) has commenced a full investigation into the matter.
