Arrest of Penny Ntuli for Roadside Twerking

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has reportedly ordered the immediate arrest of popular radio presenter Penny Ntuli and her friend after a viral video showed them twerking on the side of a busy road.

The incident, which quickly spread across social media platforms, captured the pair dancing provocatively near fast-moving traffic, drawing mixed reactions from the public. While some viewers dismissed the act as harmless fun, authorities have labeled it reckless and dangerous.

In a statement released by the Presidency, Ramaphosa condemned the behavior, stressing that such actions could easily distract motorists, potentially leading to accidents and loss of lives.

“South Africans must exercise freedom responsibly. Endangering oneself and other road users under the guise of entertainment is unacceptable. Law enforcement has been directed to act swiftly,” the statement read.
