Sowore Demands Probe as Regina Daniels’ Allegations Against Senator Ned Nwoko Trigger National Uproar

Sowore and Regina Daniels

Activist and politician Omoyele Sowore has reacted to the ongoing controversy surrounding the marriage of Senator Ned Nwoko and actress Regina Daniels, following a series of allegations circulating on social media.

The claims, which have triggered intense debate online, include assertions attributed to Regina Daniels that she was 17 years old at the time she married Nwoko and that she experienced various forms of abuse during the relationship. The allegations, widely shared across multiple platforms, also suggest possible violations of UK legal and professional standards, given that Nwoko is reportedly registered as a legal practitioner in the United Kingdom. None of these allegations have been independently verified, and Senator Nwoko has not issued an official response at the time of reporting.

Reacting to the controversy, Sowore stated that the issues raised “go beyond politics” and “require transparent investigation.” He called for relevant authorities in Nigeria and the United Kingdom to review the allegations, including the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) in the UK regarding Nwoko’s standing as a legal practitioner.

Sowore also criticized what he described as “the misuse of political influence and law enforcement,” urging that the matter be handled without interference or intimidation. He emphasized that all parties involved are entitled to due process but insisted that serious accusations must not be dismissed.

Legal analysts note that the matter may involve multiple jurisdictions if formal complaints are filed. Child-rights advocates have also weighed in, urging caution and thorough investigation before conclusions are drawn.

The situation continues to develop, with social media reactions intensifying and calls growing for both parties to make formal public statements.
