Sowore’s arrest to intimidate citizens

The Movement for Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) has called for immediate release of detained Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, from incarceration.

In a statement signed by its President, Fegalo Nsuke, the group demanded Sowore’s unconditional release, urging the Federal Government to allow Nigerians enjoy the right to peaceful protest and expression.

The MOSOP also described the arrest as attempt to intimidate citizens from expressing their likes and dislikes, noting that the “revolution protests” proposed by Sowore does not mean a threat.”
