Stranded APC Supporter

A woman who claimed to have travelled from Lagos to Owerri to campaign for Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has cried out for help after allegedly being abandoned without transport fare to return home.

In a video circulating online, the woman appealed directly to Seyi Tinubu, saying she had participated in campaign activities organised by the City Boy Movement in support of the president but did not receive the incentives she claimed were promised.

According to her, the coordinators allegedly promised supporters items such as a freezer, generator, and cash compensation for participating in the mobilisation effort. However, she claimed that after travelling to Owerri from Lagos for the campaign, none of the promised benefits were given to her.

“Nigerians please help me, I need transport fare to go back,” she said in the video. “Seyi Tinubu, I came all the way from Lagos to Owerri to campaign for your father, President Tinubu. They promised us money and empowerment like freezer and generator, but I didn’t receive anything.”

The woman added that she is currently stranded in Owerri and lacks the funds needed to return to Lagos.

The City Boy Movement, a youth mobilisation platform that publicly supported Tinubu during the elections, has not officially responded to the allegation at the time of filing this report.
