Students at the Rivers State University have staged a protest following the abduction of four classmates from the school’s Emohua satellite campus. The students marched to the main gate, carrying placards to demand action. They were met by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Isaac Zeb-Obipi, who listened to their grievances.
A student representative from the Social Science Student Association OF NIGERIA, Mariam Odungweru, called on management to relocate students from the Emohua campus to the main campus and secure the release of those abducted. In response, the vice-chancellor assured protesters that student’s safety is his priority.
