Terrorists suspected to be Fulani bandits carried out a morning raid on Aso community in Karu LGA of Nasarawa State near Abuja, burning houses and vehicles and forcing residents to flee.
The attack occurred around the Maraba/Masaka area near a primary school, with videos showing smoke from burning structures, fleeing and armed men moving through the area.
Accounts indicate the incident followed a clash the previous day in which a Fulani herder was allegedly killed during a dispute over grazing.
Residents apprehended at least one suspect.
As of midday March 25, 2026, no confirmed casualties have been reported and no official security response has been issued.
