Students of The Polytechnic, Ibadan this morning trooped out en mass to protest the decision of Governor Seyi Makinde to rename the institution after one of his predecessors, late Dr. Victor Omololu Olunloyo.

Recall that during the funeral of late Olunloyo last week Friday, Governor Makinde renamed the institution after Olunloyo as a way of immortalizing him.

The students however disagree with this decision and took to the streets to protest. They are demanding that the state governor rescind his decision.
