There was tension in Kano, Kano State on Monday when a young man climbed a tall billboard near Gadar Lado, along Zaria Road, and threatened to jump.
According to the state police spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, the man said he would only come down if certain TikTok celebrities he follows appeared at the scene.
“Security operatives are currently making efforts to rescue him alive
He specifically mentioned that if the celebrities he follows on TikTok don’t come, he will jump. May Allah prevent it,” Kiyawa posted on Facebook.
The situation attracted a crowd, while emergency responders and security officials rushed in to calm things and prevent a tragedy.
Rescue efforts were still ongoing as of the time of this report.
