Terrorists, Bandits Keep Us Sleepless At Night – Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday, acknowledged that terrorists and bandits keep all members of his administration sleepless at night.

President Tinubu at the opening of a two-day national economic summit, convened at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, therefore, promised to intensify efforts to strengthen the security forces in the battle against terrorism and banditry.

He was of the view that ongoing violence and killings are “foreign” to local cultures.

The national economic summit is being convened under the National Economic Council, NEC, and chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima, to bolster coordination between the Federal Government and the 36 States of the Federation to drive inclusive growth.

President told participants that many of the reforms his government embarked upon were fast yielding results. He said his administration is working hard to strengthen the macro-economic environment to guarantee growth and development.

The President commended the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Yemi Cardoso, for supporting the government to push through a reliable monetary policy that is fast yielding results.

President Tinubu challenged participants to come out with workable policy ideas that will support the governments at all levels to deliver on the economy.
