We know the truth, and that truth is the fact that Nigeria as country unleashes death upon her citizens. Right from amalgamation, it has been killings upon killings. Islamic extremists in their desperate mission to islamize the entire country have killed lots of people via many religious riots across the country. These unprovoked killings continue unabated. It got to the stage that big lorries bring decapitated bodies of Igbo men, women and children killed by rampaging northern men.
This continued until when Onitsha couldn’t take it anymore. Bodies have been dumped as usual at upper Iweka, to the glaring disturbing views of all. Enraged youths returned the the favour.
In 1966, they went about killing every Igbo and other Easterners living in the north. That was after they killed more than 300 military personnel from Eastern region.
Did they stop there? No! For the sake of one Nigeria and their jihadist plots, they went ahead to bring war directly to those that ran away from their one Nigeria. Those that massacred more than 30,000 thousand Easterners in the North, also came down to the East to kill more than 3.5 million right in their backyard. Till today, they are still happy and proud for killing people seeking for refuge in their own land by means of secession.
Till today, the killings persist. Keeping Nigeria one is worth murdering millions more if need be. That’s the maxim of those that rule Nigeria. They have used Boko Haram to steal power and kill people recklessly. They have sent Fulani herdsmen from Nigeria and across West Africa into indigenous people’s villages to keep killing them and force them into ceding their lands away to them for peace. They intimidate you with bloodletting, you succumb and give away your land. Then before 20years, they become Indigenes, get Emir, metamorphose into a local government and dominate the organic indigenous people both religiously and culturally.
This is exactly what happened in Hausa land. Prior to 1804, there were no Fulani in the North. Usman Dan Fodio used gullible Hausa people to defeat their own land. Till today, Fulani have taken over their land. Today, Hausa people struggle not to offend the Fulani. They are in eternal servitude today, with tiny or no hope of breaking free. They did same to the Jos and Benue people. Today Fulani have communities there. That is their definition of one Nigeria.
Why are you still hoping that Nigeria will get better? How many more have to die before you can understand this fact, that One Nigeria is not working, has never worked and can never work. When are we going to stop pretending? Aren’t we going to face the truth?
Eastern leaders must understand that Nigeria isn’t working. No need of political correctness. We must work together to actualize a nation we can all be proud of. And that nation is Biafra.
