Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has declared that his administration is determined to complete all major ongoing projects across the state, despite attempts to derail his government.
Addressing the State Executive Council meeting on Thursday, Adeleke reviewed the state of governance and affirmed that his administration has recorded significant achievements in implementing its five-point agenda.
According to his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke stated that his team has succeeded where critics failed.
He said, “They plotted, but our God plotted for us. They were surprised that we survived the siege they laid on our government and the people of Osun state.
The governor attributed the success to the support of the people of Osun and the will of God and vowed to continue serving the interests of the people.
“Adeleke handed over those perceived to be working against his government to God and maintained that. In these holy months, we hand over those tormenting the Osun people to God to judge between them and us.
“He expressed confidence that Osun State has overcome the challenges of under-development and infra-deficit, and that remaining issues will be addressed with God’s grace and the support of the people.
“The Council discussed several issues, including the implementation of the Osun State Electricity Market law, payroll reform, and revenue and tax matters.”
The governor, however, said to have directed the Commissioner for Energy to propose the setting up of a regulatory commission and instructed the Commissioner for Finance to speed up tax reforms and expand the revenue base of the state.
“The Council also set March 1st, 2026, as the resumption date for newly recruited teachers and formed a committee to review traditional Council matters”, he concluded.
