Nollywood actress Georgina Onuoha has raised alarm over what she described as the infiltration of May Yul-Edochie’s support base by malicious individuals using the name “May Nation” to issue threats, spread hate, and provoke chaos.
In an emotional public statement addressed to supporters of May Yul-Edochie, Onuoha expressed deep gratitude to fans who have consistently stood by her sister through what she described as injustice and emotional hardship. She praised supporters for defending May even during her silence, noting that their loyalty and advocacy have been instrumental in keeping her strong.
However, the actress drew a firm line against acts of violence, harassment, and intimidation allegedly being carried out in May’s name. According to Onuoha, someone close to her recently received a disturbing message threatening children and family members, an action she strongly condemned.
“Let me be very clear: that does not represent May, and it does not represent May Nation,” she stated.
Onuoha emphasized that May Yul-Edochie is a peaceful, dignified, and family-oriented woman who does not engage in threats, cruelty, or harassment, urging supporters to reflect those same values in their actions.
She warned that “May Nation” is not an organized group with a leadership or headquarters, but rather a community united by love and a shared desire for justice. As such, she called on genuine supporters to be vigilant and reject anyone attempting to use the movement as a cover for harmful behavior.
The actress further alleged that persistent negative and defamatory posts targeting May are deliberate attempts to provoke her into reacting publicly, a tactic she said has failed.
“May has endured threats, cruelty, and harassment and has chosen peace. That is her strength,” Onuoha said, invoking the Igbo saying “ama ndi aneze” dignity in silence.
She concluded with a heartfelt appeal to supporters: to show love without hate, fight for justice without violence, and mirror May Yul-Edochie’s grace, restraint, and kindness.
