TikTok personality Peller has stirred controversy after publicly accusing some members of Nigeria’s Super Falcons, including Asisat Oshoala and Deborah Abiodun, of ignoring his messages since receiving their recent $100,000 presidential reward.
In a video posted to his TikTok page, Peller said that before the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) victory and the presidential cash gift, he enjoyed warm and frequent interactions with the players, but that has since changed.
According to him, the relationship soured immediately after President Bola Tinubu hosted the victorious Falcons and announced the $100,000 cash reward for each player. Peller alleged that the players now act as though they are “too busy” or “too important” to engage with him.
“Since they won $100,000, my messages have been left unread. Their money will soon finish, and they’ll text me ,but I won’t reply,” Peller declared in the viral clip.
He singled out midfielder Deborah Abiodun, claiming he had once helped boost her presence on TikTok but has now been met with silence from her as well.
Asisat Oshoala, Deborah Abiodun, and the Super Falcons camp have yet to issue any public response to the claims. The allegations remain unverified beyond Peller’s own account.
The Super Falcons were celebrated in Abuja in July after defeating South Africa to lift the 2024 WAFCON trophy, with President Tinubu rewarding each player $100,000 and national honours for their achievement.
