President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised the pace of development in Ogun State, describing recent projects in Iperu as a clear demonstration of purposeful leadership and sustainable progress.

The President made the remarks following his visit to Iperu, where he assessed key infrastructural and economic initiatives, including the Gateway Cargo Airport. He noted that the project reflects what can be achieved when vision is backed by discipline and long-term planning.

“I returned to Ogun State today with a full heart,” Tinubu said, emphasizing that the investments made are centered on improving the lives of citizens. “Our investment is about our people. Today’s foundation is for tomorrow’s prosperity.”

Tinubu also commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for his “focus and consistency,” noting that true development is driven not by rhetoric but by impactful decisions that directly benefit the people.

The President highlighted several initiatives unveiled during the visit, including newly launched aircraft, electric bikes, tractors, and enhanced security assets. According to him, these projects represent practical and visible progress that cuts across multiple sectors of the state’s economy.

“Development must touch every level,” he stated, expressing satisfaction that Ogun State is implementing policies and projects that align with this principle.

Tinubu further linked the state’s progress to his administration’s Renewed Hope agenda, explaining that recent reforms have increased resources available to sub-national governments, enabling them to deliver more effectively.

“Our Renewed Hope reforms are not abstract. They are creating room for states to act and deliver. Many states, including Ogun, are rising to the moment,” he said.

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to sustained development, the President concluded with a message of continuity and determination: “We are building for people, and we are building for prosperity. The work continues.”
