Several ministers in President Bola Tinubu’s administration, including FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and Works Minister Dave Umahi, are set to travel to London for an international press conference aimed at highlighting the administration’s achievements.
Bode Adeyemi, Project Internal Coordinator of the Tinubu Midterm Legacy Projects Review Committee, announced the trip on Tuesday during a briefing in Abuja. He said the conference will serve as a platform for ministers, heads of agencies, and other top officials to present their ministries’ progress and legacy projects to the international community.
Among those expected to attend are the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo; NUPRC CEO, Gbenga Komolafe; FMBN MD, Usman Osidi; and FIRS Chairman, Zacheous Adedeji.
Adeyemi emphasized that the Tinubu administration has made notable progress in its first 24 months, despite economic challenges. According to him, a comprehensive compendium of projects has been compiled and a dedicated website will be launched at the event.
He praised the efforts of ministers and agency heads for their contributions to what he called a “verifiable success story” under Tinubu’s leadership.
Also speaking ahead of the event, APC UK Chapter Chairman, Tunde Doherty, said the London conference aims to correct misinformation and promote the government’s achievements globally. He cited progress in infrastructure, economic reforms, healthcare, job creation, digital economy, and security.
Doherty also highlighted key milestones, including the commencement of local refinery operations, the push for local government autonomy, major infrastructure projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road, repayment of IMF debt, subsidy removal, and strengthened rule of law.
