Tinubu Out of Touch With Nigerians’ Suffering – PDP

PDP and Tinubu

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s Independence Day speech, calling it uninspiring and out of touch with Nigeria’s economic and security challenges.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, said Nigerians are facing rising inflation, high living costs, and growing hardship, despite government claims of progress.

He questioned the use of funds saved from fuel subsidy removal and accused the administration of lacking transparency and accountability.

Ologunagba also raised concerns over continued borrowing and alleged corruption in government agencies, warning that these undermine the country’s independence.

On security, he dismissed the President’s comments about action against non-state actors, saying insecurity remains widespread and unresolved.

The PDP urged the government to adopt policies that support economic growth and job creation, and called for a full account of public funds and clearer plans ahead of the party’s upcoming national convention.
