Global Afrobeats sensation Tiwa Savage has officially announced the release of her long-awaited studio album, “This One is Personal”, set to drop on August 29th.
In an emotional statement shared via her social platforms, the music star revealed the deeply personal nature of the project, which has been in the works for over two years. Recorded across major cities including Nashville, Malibu, San Francisco, London, and Lagos, the album reflects a blend of international influences and raw emotional depth.
“Some of these records were born out of pain and very dark times, and some were from times that were brighter,” Tiwa wrote. “EVERY single song, every single vibe is something I went through.”
Describing the album as “a chunk of my heart,” Tiwa Savage emphasized that “This One is Personal” is not about proving anything, but rather an open and honest outpouring of her journey, struggles, and triumphs.
“It’s me pouring my emotions in notes and creating music from my heart,” she said.
