Nollywood actress and politician Tonto Dikeh has joined millions globally in celebrating International Women’s Day, sharing an inspiring message about the strength, purpose, and divine calling of women.
In a statement released on Sunday, Dikeh emphasized that women were created with intention and purpose by God, describing them as vessels of strength, dignity, and destiny.
Quoting from the Bible, she referenced Proverbs 31:25, which says, “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future,” noting that this reflects the identity of a woman who walks closely with God.
The actress highlighted several women in scripture who played significant roles in shaping history, including Deborah, Esther, and Mary. According to her, these women demonstrated courage, faith, and obedience in fulfilling God’s purpose.
Dikeh encouraged women not to see themselves as ordinary but as individuals created with purpose and the ability to influence generations.
She noted that women possess the power to nurture, inspire, and bring light in difficult situations, adding that when a woman walks with God, she becomes unstoppable through the power of the Holy Spirit.
The actress also prayed for women across the world, asking God to raise a generation of women who will pray boldly, stand for truth, lead with wisdom, and walk confidently in their divine assignments.
She concluded by celebrating women who continue to persevere despite challenges, describing them as strong, faithful, and purpose-driven.
International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on March 8 to recognize the achievements of women and promote gender equality worldwide.
