The Nigerian troops have recovered six motorcycles after a gun duel with bandits during a clearance operation in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area.
The troops embarked on a clearance operation across the Sankera axis at about 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
“Along Kemvanger in Katsina-Ala, they encountered armed bandits and engaged them in a heavy exchange of fire.
“The criminals fled in disarray, abandoning six Honda motorcycles, which were recovered by the security forces.
Bush combing operation was ongoing in the area with a view to track and arrest the fleeing suspects.
