Two armed bandits have been killed following a deadly confrontation between rival factions in Pauwa Forest, which straddles Kankara and Danmusa Local Government Areas of Katsina State.

The latest clash occurred on Monday, November 11, at around 6:00 p.m. in Tsamiyar Gino, Kankara LGA, and involved the factions of notorious bandits Mustapha Babaro and Sanusi Dan Dutsinma.

Sources confirmed that the confrontation resulted in the deaths of Bilyaminu Alhaji Monday and Umar Ibrahim, both members of Sanusi Dan Dutsinma’s faction.

Security authorities are keeping the situation under close observation, as the forested border areas continue to serve as hideouts for armed bandit groups, posing persistent threats to nearby communities.
