The U.S State Department on Monday issued a warning to Americans in Nigeria, citing a potential t+rrorist thr£at against US facilities and US-affiliated schools.
The embassy in Abuja urged citizens to stay vigilant, avoid predictable routines, and review safety measures with their families to reduce risk.
The advisory did not disclose the source of the thr£at. This comes after President Donald Trump ordered airstrikes in Nigeria on Christmas Day, claiming the attacks targeted jihadist groups and responding to his concerns over pers+cution of Christians in Africa’s most populous nation,a claim widely debated given violence affects both Christians and Muslims.
The warning also coincides with broader global security concerns following US and Israeli attacks on Iran, which responded with missile and drone strikes against countries aligned with Washington. Americans in Nigeria are being urged to exercise heightened caution amid these regional and local threats.
