
Ukraine’s army has confirmed that heavy shelling from Russian territory is targeting a large number of communities in the Sumy region of Ukraine near the countries’ shared border.
In its latest operation report, it said Russian attacks, including air strikes, have been hitting several areas in Kharkiv and Chernihiv.
Three more Russian strikes were reported in Kupiansk with two clashes ongoing. In Lymansk, invading Russian soldiers attacked four times.
The Ukrainian military also said its forces encountered six attacks by Russian forces in the Novopavlivka area of Zaporizhia.
