Social media activist, Verydarkman, has reacted strongly to a viral picture suggesting he is responsible for Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing’s alleged pregnancy.
In a statement shared on Sunday, Verydarkman distanced himself from the claims, describing the circulating image as “fake” and a deliberate attempt to tarnish his reputation.
“Fellow Nigerians, I am not the man responsible for her pregnancy—if she is. I have never met her in my life and I am sure I won’t be willing to meet her ever. Please disregard this picture because it is a fake picture to tarnish my reputation. I am certain this is AI,” he said.
Taking a swipe at what he termed “false advertising” in Nigeria, he further suggested that the actress’s physique was more likely the effect of “a combination of slimming products” rather than pregnancy.
Verydarkman concluded his reaction by urging Nigerians to protect one another from online bullying and misinformation, while pushing his campaign slogan, #RatelMovement.
