A solemn candlelight procession is set to take place tomorrow, August 5, 2025, in honour of the late entrepreneur, Martins Onyekesi, CEO of Fish Magnet, who was recently murdered by gunmen in Ezinifite-Okpuno.
The tribute, led by social commentator Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), will begin at 3:00 PM at Aroma Junction in Awka. Participants will walk down to the Fish Magnet office at Ring Road, Awka, in what is expected to be a two-hour peaceful march.
VDM stated that the procession is not only a tribute to the late Onyekesi but also a public call to action against the growing insecurity in Anambra State and across Nigeria.
“I’ve contacted the Police PRO in Anambra, popularly known as Ikenga, and he has assured us of adequate security,” VDM confirmed.
Dress Code: All participants are expected to wear black-on-black attire as a symbol of mourning and unity.
