Who Will You Vote For If Tinubu, Atiku, & Obi Contest For President Under Different Parties In 2023

Tinubu, Atiku, & Obi

As 2023 which is the next season of Nigeria’s general elections draws nearer, there is every need for us to start talking about it from now. This is because, in one way or the other, our political leaders have a great influence on our daily lives.

To this end, this article is designed to extract the opinions of Nigerians ahead of the incoming general elections, especially that of the presidency. Among the politicians listed below, who will you vote for if they all contest for the presidency in the election?

1. Peter Obi – the former governor of Anambra state is not a new name in Nigerian politics. After his time as the executive governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi steps into National politics in 2019 and became the running mate to Atiku Abubakar who ran for President in the last election.

Peter Obi may likely run for the number one political office of the country in the 2023 election. This is because there is a serious call for a Southeastern to become the next president of Nigeria, and Peter Obi may be put forward by the region.

2. Atiku Abubakar: Atiku Abubakar is as popular as anyone else in Nigerian politics. Being a two-time Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (from 1999 to 2007), and a major contender in the 2019 presidential election, Atiku is a household name in our politics.

Although his current political party (the Peoples Democratic Party – PDP) may likely zone their candidacy to Southern Nigeria, Atiku has shown determination to contest in the election irrespective of how the party goes about her zoning arrangements. From all indications, the presidential race may involve him.

3. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu: arguably, the former Lagos State governor is one of the biggest politicians in Nigeria today. His political influence has since expanded beyond the Southwest region. He is believed to be one of the few politicians in Nigeria who have produced many other politicians through his political structure.

In 2023, the National Leader of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) may contest for the presidency. It was believed that in 2014 when APC was formed out of the amalgamation of many political parties (including the one of Bola Tinubu), there was an agreement that he will run for president after Buhari’s tenures. So far, his body language is attesting to that fact.

So, the big question is: if these politicians decided to contest for the office of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the election, where will your vote go?
