Wike’s Aide, Lere Olayinka Mocks Peter Obi Over Contradictory Fuel Subsidy Statements

Lere Olayinka and Peter Obi

Lere Olayinka, a senior special assistant on public communication and social media to Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has taken to his official X account to respond to two contradictory video clips of Peter Obi, a former Labour Party presidential candidate, talking about the removal of fuel subsidies.

In one video, Peter Obi makes it clear that if elected president, he would immediately end gasoline subsidies. However, in another video, he claims he would postpone this action. Social media users and political observers have started talking about the apparent contradiction.

Lere Olayinka repeatedly referred to Obi as “Mr ONE SHOE” in a series of tweets sent on his verified X page in response to the two videos. Obi was the former governor of Anambra State.

According to reports, Mr. One Shoe stated, “I didn’t say I will remove Fuel Subsidy immediately.” “Fuel Subsidy will be eliminated right away,” said Lere Olayinka.
