The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a woman for allegedly stabbing a man identified as Jeff during a dispute reportedly linked to an unfulfilled ₦2 million promise.
According to police sources, the suspect claimed that Jeff had pledged to give her ₦2 million in exchange for repeated sexual encounters—money she said she desperately needed for her sister’s medical treatment. She further alleged that Jeff had some level of control over her sister’s situation.
“This guy walked up to me and told me that he would like to help me. And this guy, I’ve been sleeping with him before,” she said while being questioned after her arrest. “He told me he would help out, that he would give me ₦2 million for my sister’s health and he would release my sister because he had her. I had no choice. When I realised what was happening, I told Jeff, and he said he was going to report to the police.”
Police authorities say an investigation is ongoing to verify the woman’s claims, determine the actual nature of the relationship between the parties, and establish what led to the stabbing.
