“Would You Stay?” Actress Peggy Ovire Shares Disturbing Story of Alleged Affair Involving Married Man and Woman

Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has stirred widespread conversation on social media after sharing a detailed story describing an alleged extramarital affair involving a married man and a married woman with children.

In the narrative, which the actress presented as a question to the public, a woman discovers—after marriage—that her husband had been secretly involved in a long-term sexual relationship with a married woman he had previously described as “just a friend.” According to the story, the man allegedly denied the affair while dating, manipulated perceptions by praising the woman publicly and disparaging her privately, and continued the relationship even after getting married.

The account further claims that the married woman, who was known to both families and even attended the couple’s wedding, would allegedly leave her husband’s home to meet the man in hotels or his apartment. In some instances, the man reportedly visited the woman in her matrimonial home under the guise of friendship, with her husband unaware of the alleged affair.

The story also highlights what Peggy described as hypocrisy, noting that the man reportedly condemned single women who date married men while secretly engaging in an affair with a married woman himself. Matters worsened, the actress said, when the man allegedly began comparing his wife to the married woman he was involved with.

Peggy Ovire ended the post by asking a direct question: Would you remain married to such a man?

While the actress did not mention any names or confirm whether the story was based on personal experience or a real-life situation, her post has generated intense reactions online, with many Nigerians weighing in on issues of infidelity, deception, emotional manipulation, and the moral responsibilities of married partners.
