WTO Election: Senator Samuel Anyanwu Congratulates Dr. Okonjo Iwuala

-Describes Her Emergence As A Sign Of New Dawn For African Continent

Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu congratulates Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala on her election as Director General of World Trade Organization (WTO), describing it as not only a sign of new dawn for Nigeria in particular, but African continent at large.

Senator Anyanwu therefore charged other women to emulate the new WTO Director General who succeeded through hard work and dedication, advising them to invest more on their brains rather than wasting plenty times on frivolities.

He said, “The victory recorded by Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iwuala was triggered by her intellectual makeup. As a Finance Minister in Nigeria, she demonstrated high level of capacity in supervising the economy. This is why the PDP government under former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan recorded many giant strides.”

Senator Anyanwu expressed optimism that her emergence would put to an end all wrongly taken decisions that led to the current global economic meltdown.

While congratulating her for playing a major role as Finance Minister, also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to engage sound economic managers to revive the staggering economy, instead of recruiting quacks.
