Anambra-based tech entrepreneur and businessman, Linus Williams, popularly known as Blord, has reacted strongly to a comment on his social media post that dismissed the possibility of any land in Anambra State being worth ₦200 million.
Blord, who is known for his bold investments and influence among Nigerian youth, took to his Instagram page to address the matter. According to him, the comment reflects a gross underestimation of Anambra’s growing real estate value and development potential.
“I don’t blame the person; they don’t really know what’s happening in Anambra,” Blord said. “People still look down on this state, but they have no idea how far we’ve come.”
Encouraging his followers to educate skeptics, the businessman urged them to share current land prices in key areas like the Unizik Junction to Aroma axis in Awka. “Let them come to the comment section and see the real price of land in these areas,” he added.
Blord also revealed that he had plans to situate the Blord Headquarters along the Unizik expressway but was shocked when he was told a single plot of land would cost as much as ₦500 million. “They told me ₦500 million for just one plot, I had to say ‘abeg oo!’” he exclaimed.
According to him, premium locations such as Unizik Junction and some parts of Nnewi now boast land values of over ₦200 million to ₦500 million due to increasing commercial activity and infrastructure development.
He concluded by reaffirming his belief in Anambra’s rising property market, insisting that people from outside the state often misunderstand the economic value brewing within its urban and suburban hubs.
