Nollywood veteran Zack Orji has stirred fresh reactions after defending the economic reforms of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while criticizing Nigerians for relying heavily on social media narratives.
Speaking during a recent interview, Orji argued that many Nigerians do not take time to properly research or understand economic indices before forming opinions about the state of the economy. According to him, public perception is often shaped by unverified claims circulating online.
He maintained that the reforms introduced by the Tinubu administration are beginning to yield results, pointing to what he described as a noticeable drop in the prices of staple foods such as rice and beans.
However, when confronted with concerns about widespread hardship and hunger across the country, the actor dismissed the criticism, stating that hunger is not unique to Nigeria and did not start under the current administration.
