2023 Presidency: A Strong Sign That APC Registration Exercise Is A Plot Against Tinubu

Tinubu and apc

The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC is currently conduction what has been described re-registration or revalidation of membership by old members and registration of new members into the party.

It is very doubtful that this re-registration exercise is part of the terms and conditions of the Caretaker Committee led by Gov Mai Mala Buni of Your state. I therefore do not understand why himself and his team choose to embark on this contentious exercise.

Anyways, some voices (strong ones for that matter) have questioned the rationale behind asking existing members to revalidate their membership. Chief Akande, the former interim national chairman of the party was the first big name that came out to question the exercise.

After Akande, the national leader of the party, Chief Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomhole, the immediate past national chairman of the party have openly expressed reservation and disagreement with the exercise.

It is no secrete (even though he is yet to make a formal public declaration) that Mr Tinubu nurses a presidential ambition. And that obstacles are mounting against his bid. In my opinion, there are several signs that this APC registration exercise is targeted at Tinubu.

Looking at this three personalities that have come out to criticize the exercise, they hold something in common. They are all believed to be supporters of a Tinubu presidency. This is the clearest sign to me that the exercise is a plot against the former Lagos governor.

Akande and Oshiomhole are Tinubu’s allies. That they and Tinubu himself raised objections to the exercise is a sign that they probably feel threatened by the exercise. Their unity in duping the exercise as unnessary strongly support speculations that the exercise is a plot against Tinubu.
