Award-winning Nigerian singer, Waje, has shared an emotional and deeply inspiring open letter addressed to young men and women in their 20s. In a heartfelt post accompanied by a lovely photo of herself and her daughter, Waje offered life advice drawn from her personal experiences, encouraging youths to take life one step at a time.
She began her message with a soothing reminder: “Dear 20-something Girl/Boy, First of all, breathe.” Acknowledging the pressure that comes with making life decisions, chasing dreams, and handling expectations, the singer reassured them that they are not alone.
“Life stretches us in ways we don’t see coming,” she wrote, before dropping wisdom about growth, loss, love, and self-discovery. Waje emphasized that “your timeline is yours for a reason” and urged young people not to feel behind in life.
The soulful singer also humorously confessed: “I’m in my 40s and still figuring 🤣🤣🤣 (CAN I GET A WITNESS),” reminding fans that growth is lifelong and perfection is unrealistic.
She ended her letter with words of encouragement:
“Be kind to your body and your mind. Rest is not laziness and softness is not weakness… You are becoming, Child. You’ve got this!”
