Renowned Nigerian actor Gabriel Olasubomi Afolayan has been bestowed with an honorary doctorate degree in arts and culture from an international university.

Similar to his fellow actor Lateef Adedimeji, the 38-year-old movie star received this prestigious accolade from Estam University in Benin.

He was recognized for his outstanding contributions to the Nigerian film industry and his unwavering dedication to preserving and promoting the nation’s cultural heritage.

Gabriel Afolayan, who is the son of the legendary Nigerian actor Adeyemi Afolayan (also known as Ade Love), has carved a niche for himself in the entertainment industry and garnered acclaim for his notable work in films such as Hoodrush, which earned him a Best Supporting Actor award at the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).

Expressing his gratitude, the father of twins shared photos and videos of the event on his Instagram page.

He wrote, “Dr. Gabriel Olasubomi Afolayan (Phd honoris causa of Philosophy in Arts & Culture) thank you @university_estam”.
