A Nigerian man with the username Adeleke583 recently shared on social media that he accidentally sent ₦500,000 to the Wema Bank account of David Adeleke, also known as Davido.
In his post, he explained that he intended to transfer the money to a friend but mistakenly selected the wrong account due to its similarity to the intended recipient’s name.
The man expressed his emotions, stating “Please consider me” and requested the assistance of the public in retrieving his funds.
His statement: “Good day sir, Mr. David Adeleke @davido, I want to bring to your attention an issue. Please, I would like you to consider helping me.”
“I mistakenly sent #500,000 naira to your Wema Bank account with this account number: 0123044967. This was supposed to be sent to a friend of mine who also goes by the name David Adeleke.”
The incident has gained attention, with concerned individuals leaving comments on the post to share their opinions on the matter.
