President Tinubu finally reacts to Pleatau massacre as death toll hits 115

President Bola Tinubu has expressed his condemnation of the brutal attacks on Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi local government areas in Plateau State.

Over 115 people were killed by bandits during the attacks, which occurred on Christmas Eve.

The gunmen also burned down 17 communities, causing extensive damage.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang confirmed the number of casualties and the level of destruction, while also stating that many residents are still missing.

In response, Tinubu has instructed security agencies to take immediate action in apprehending the culprits.

The President has also called for relief resources to be mobilized to assist the surviving victims and for medical treatment to be provided to the wounded.

While condoling with the government and the people of Plateau, the President assured Nigerians that “the envoys of death, pain, and sorrow would not escape justice”.
