Hosts Ivory Coast have sacked coach Jean-Louis Gassett after their surprise loss by Equatorial Guinea in the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Ivory Coast still have a chance of qualifying as one of the best third-place finishers, but it depends on other results going their way.
The 4-0 defeat has left them on the brink of elimination in the group stage.
A statement from the Ivory Coast Federation said the coach was sacked for “insufficient results” and would be replaced by Emerse Fae as interim boss.
